Ukrainian ambassador promised to punish German members of parliament for visiting Crimea

Ukrainian ambassador to Germany Andrei Melnik threatened German MPs with “dire legal consequences” for visiting Crimea, RIA Novosti reported on February 4.

In such a way Melnik reacted to the official visit of German MPs delegation from several regional parliaments to Crimea.

The irresponsible voyage of several German politicians from the Alternative for Germany party to the illegally occupied Crimea can have very, very dire legal consequences for these sorry excuse for MPs,” the ambassador stated in his Twitter account. He also noted that earlier Ukrainian threats were not taken seriously.

On February 3, a delegation of regional MPs from the Alternative for Germany party arrived to Crimea. According to one of the MPs, in such a way they want to express the intention to cooperate with Russia.
