An armed clash between the Syrian government forces and terrorists took place on January 23 in northern Latakia, the SANA Syrian national agency reported citing a military source.
According to the source in the Syrian Armed Forces, a Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in Russia) militants’ attack in the Al-Rabia district failed, leaving 13 terrorists killed.
On January 22, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Syrian government forces and people’s militia in the Idlib province had begun an operation against the militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (organization banned in Russia).
