On January 23, a German school in Bremen opened a display of artwork called “Russia is a Great Civilization” by  Russian original artist Leonid Vasilyevich Galkin from the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod, Rossa Primavera News Agency reports.

The display of artwork was organized within the framework of the Russian culture week, which is held from January 23 to January 26 at the Bremen Waldorf School. About four hundred students, as well as their parents and relatives, will have an opportunity to see the artwork about Russia. The display will be opened for all visitors on January 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as on January 26 starting at 3 p.m. The entry is free of charge.

The works for the display were provided by a member of the Essence of Time movement Oleg Galkin, the grandson of the artist.

Germany has already displayed the works of Leonid Galkin from his cycle “Russia is a Great Civilization” at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin in June 2017. The organizers were the members of the Essence of Time movement, as well as the Dialogue Berlin Club. The Chairman of the Council of compatriots in the lands of Berlin-Brandenburg, Jeanne Krugliakova also took part in it.

Leonid Galkin produces pictures in his own easily recognizable style, combining the elements of the Russian School of easel painting and the Russian folk handicraft called Mstyora miniature. The plots for the paintings showed at the display “Russia is a Great Civilization” were taken from the Russian literature and history.
