Moscow will continue to support Syria’s national sovereignty restoration – these are words the Russian president Vladimir Putin used to congratulate his Syrian colleague Bashar Asad on December 30 with New Year in a cable, kremlin.ru site reports citing the congratulation text.
Vladimir Putin has noted that the victory against terrorists meets the interests of the whole world, and the establishment of stability in Syria will serve to secure the stability of the whole Middle East region.
Russia, as it was before, will continue to help SAR (Syrian Arab Republic) in resolving the political crisis, restoring national economy, and protecting state sovereignty, the cable’s text says.
It is worth to remind that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov has recently made statements that terrorists who were previously fighting for ISIL (organization banned in Russia) are being trained at U.S. military bases in Syria.
