Ukrainian army fires Grads missiles on outskirts of Donetsk

On the morning of December 22, Ukrainian army shelled the outskirts of Donetsk by  Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), the press service of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Operational Command informs.

Today [on December 22, 2017], in the morning from 9:00 to 10:00 [local time], Ukrainian army struck the outskirts of Donetsk (the area of the ‘Volvo Center’), by Grad MLRS “, DPR informed.

The report specified that the Ukrainian army fired 30 shells at the territory of DPR, violating the cease-fire and the Minsk agreements.

On December 23, 2017, a “New Year” truce, an agreement reached in Minsk by the Tripartite Contact Group on December 20, will come into effect.

It is worth noting that the previous “school” truce has never been cancelled and is therefore still valid. It came into effect at the end of August 2017 without expiration date.

On December 22, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) reported the following: over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire four times, shelling the territories of three villages by weapons banned by the Minsk agreement.
