Israeli-Palestinian military conflict breaks out in Hebron

Armed clashes between Palestine and Israel military forces broke out in the Hebron province’s capital, located within 30 kilometres from Jerusalem, Sky News Arabia reports on December 7th.

These were the first clashes in the Palestinian territory after the President of the United States Donald Trump made a statement officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transferring the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

After the aforementioned statement by the President of the United States, people poured out to the streets of the Palestinian cities. The crowds were chanting anti-American slogans and burning US flags.

On Thursday, December 7th, senior political leader of Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, called to military struggle against Israel.
