Russia, Iran and Turkey agree on Syria coordination measures

Measures on strengthening coordination to eliminate terrorists in Syria were agreed upon between the General Staffs of Russia, Iran and Turkey, the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper reported on November 21st.

During the trilateral meeting, the Chiefs of General Staff of Russia, Iran and Turkey agreed on measures to improve coordination on terrorists elimination in Syria.

“We managed to achieve agreements on improving coordination in the Idlib deescalation zone, as well as agreeing on specific measures on elimination of the last ISIL (organization banned in Russia) and Jabhat an-Nusra troops on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic,” Russian Defense Ministry reports.

A set of measures on political settlement in Syria was also developed during the meeting.

Recently, Sochi hosted a trilateral meeting between Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces with Hulusi Akar, Turkish Chief of General Staff, and Mohammad Bagheri, the Iranian Chief General of Staff.
