DPR: Kiev is war thirsty, “truce” is about to break

19.11.2017, DPR.

The “truce” does not exist by Kiev’s fault; the situation is on the edge of breakdown, the representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) for the ceasefire regime Ruslan Yakubov said on November 18, RIA Novosti news agency reports.
“All statements by the Ukrainian side about their intentions to abide to the ceasefire agreements are made just for Europe and are totally populistic. This is the third month of the truce, but Ukraine does not fulfill even the basic requirements. Besides that, Ukraine violates the ceasefire regularly: MLRS, heavy artillery, and armored vehicles are being used. The trust for their promises declines with each day. The situation is about to get critical. If the political dialogue is not revived, the point of no-return could be reached,” DPR’s representative said.

The truce was reached between Ukraine authorities and Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on August 25. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian military has not ceased shelling of residential areas and positions of republican armed forces.

Even Grad multiple rocket launch systems are being used by the Ukrainian armed forces as the ceasefire “implementation” measure.

As of the end of October, about 80 civilian buildings in DPR alone were damaged by the Ukrainian military’s shelling.
It has come to the point that the leaders of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics expressed doubts whether the ceasefire orders were issued by the Ukrainian military command.

Editorial Comment

It is worth noting that statements about “the point of no-return” are being done not only by the people’s militia but by Ukrainian officials too. For example, the commander of the Azov regiment (organization banned in Russia) Andrey Biletsky said that “something should happen”, after which the punitive forces will be able “return the territories” of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics to Kiev.
What exact “moment” is being told about is left to guessing, but it will unlikely be the adoption of the Donbass “reintegration” bill. Likely, he is talking about the same thing the former Governor of Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili called “the New Year without Poroshenko”: a new overthrow of the Kiev government by the Ukrainian neo-Nazis and establishing of an even more merciless dictatorship in the Ukraine.
