The Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Berlin and Brandenburg held a summative meeting. The results of the activities for the last years and future prospects were presented at the event. The joint meeting was held on November 16 in the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin, Rossa Primavera News Agency correspondent reported.
A report on activities of Russian compatriots in Berlin and Brandenburg was presented at the event. Many cultural and social organizations attended the event. A charity concert Do Good Deeds and a youth festival were also a success.
The main outcome of the meeting was a unanimous decision to strengthen cooperation with German organizations, expand the scope of cultural activities, and promote Russia in Germany as a cultural and historical personality.
The All-German Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots was established on July 7, 2007, and unites various public organizations of Russian-speaking German citizens. The organization’s goals are to coordinate compatriots’ activities, support the tradition of Russia’s multinational culture, and develop connections between the state and public organizations.
