Giulietto Chiesa: The Western world has mastered programming of humans, but not peoples

10.11.2017, Russia.

The masters of the Western world managed to reprogram the human brain, but they failed to reprogram the peoples, said Giulietto Chiesa, a former member of the European Parliament, research fellow at the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington on November 5 at the Sofia club open meeting, the correspondent of Rossa Primavera News Agency reports.

Online, many people are talking about the new world order, according to Chiesa. Does it exist? No, there is no new world order. On the contrary, there is a great world disorder around the Western world.

However, there are those, he adds, whom Paul Krugman, a Nobel Prize laureate, called the “masters of the universe”. They are 200-300 thousand people. And indeed, they rule. Though, even if they are the “masters of the universe”, they are not the masters of the world order.

These people are in a difficult situation, says Chiesa. There are many forces which they did not consider, although they have a million times more information at their disposal than you and I. They literally started producing a new kind of humans. Our brains are already programmed. The brains of our children will be programmed even more. Imagine, for example, whether direct connection of a person to the internet is compatible with classical democracy?

Chiesa asks, why can’t they fully program the humans? And he answers: because there are peoples. Programming the peoples is what the “masters of the universe” did not manage to accomplish.

The expert is convinced that the strength of the national spirit has a huge potential for resistance. Prior to Maidan, the Russian people were disoriented. But, as soon as the people felt a direct strike, part of it (not the intelligentsia whose brains were programmed by the Western world) reacted. And President Putin felt it and responded.

An open meeting of the Sofia Club took place on November 5 in Moscow. The topic of the meeting was “Left Alternatives for Europe”. The International Sofia Club was established in the capital of Bulgaria in 2013 on the initiative of Tatjana Ždanoka and Giulietto Chiesa, the members of the European Parliament, Sergey Kurginyan, the leader of the Essence of Time social movement, and Zakhari Zakhariev, President of the Slavic Foundation. Representatives from Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine participate in the discussion.
