Kurginyan: Ukrainian oligarchs are incapable of opposing the radicals

28.10.2017, Russia.

On October 26, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, Sergey Kurginyan speaking on the Channel One at the Time will Show TV-show said that violence in Ukraine will grow, as there are no forces of order that are capable restraining the radicals.

He believes that modern Ukraine is a country, where radicals play a decisive role in its political life, “They cannot be taken out of the process, and it means they are destined to dominate in it. And since they are destined to dominate the process, soon everyone there will be demonstrating guns and the like,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement said in his comments regarding the recent assassination attempt on Ukrainian parliament member Mosiychuk.

Drawing parallels between modern Ukraine and Hitler’s Germany, Sergey Kurginyan stressed that the Ukrainian elite, intelligence agencies, and army are not capable of dealing with the radicals. “All of this business-oligarchic structure is, of course, more powerful and more in tune with people’s moods and with the majority of Ukrainian people, but the radical core will rule everything in Ukrainian society. A million people will control the process, and this million wishes to exacerbate the situation more and more. And no one can stop them. Even the most horrific and disgusting figure in human history, Hitler, managed to take control over his stormtroopers [Sturmabteilung (SA), also known the Brownshirts – translator’s note] and others. There is no such possibility here. They do not have the possibilities that were present back then, like the Prussian junkers, the Prussian army, and so on,” Kurginyan explained.

Only elites of criminal impunity exist here. Eliminate them, and everything collapses. Leave them in place, and they will continue their criminal actions. This is their language. Their language is violence.

The main force of 2014 coup d’etat were the radical Ukrainian nationalists, supporters of Bandera and Shukhevich’s policies. The majority of the so-called “volunteer battalions”, which are made up of Ukrainian nationalists, do not report to the military command.

Ernst Röhm is an odious figure of German history; he was a leader of the Brownshirts supporting the Nazi party during the 1920’s. He was killed on June 30, 1934, on the Night of the Long Knives, under Hitler’s order, when the latter realized that these Brownshirts had carried out their mission and had become an undesirable element, a destabilizing factor in the internal political life of Nazi Germany.
