No Syrian area can be considered liberated until government troops lift the Syrian flag over it, stated Syria’s Information Minister Mohammed Ramiz Tarjaman in his interview to RIA Novosti news agency on October 23.
“We do not consider any city liberated until the Syrian Arab army enters it and lifts the Syrian flag over it. This applies to any place on the Syrian map”, said the Syrian Information Minister.
Last week, mass media announced the liberation of Raqqa from militants of ISIL (organization banned in Russia). After terrorists left the city, Syrian opposition forces with the support of US-led international coalition occupied it.
