Militants in Syria use NATO weapons

NATO-made weapons such as firearms, artillery, as well as a few hundred mortar shells, were found by the army of the Syrian Arabic Republic in the town of Mayadin which was liberated from militants, the Parlamentskaya Gazeta newspaper reports on October 21.

The video, capturing 2011 NATO-issue 155 mm artillery guns with up to 40km firing range, as well as other weapons, has been shared by the Syrian Arabic News Agency SANA.

Mayadin, located 90km away from the Syria-Iraq border east from the town of Deir ez-Zor, has been liberated from the terrorist gangs on Saturday, October 14. The town was held by the militants since July 2013.
