Researcher: Ukraine rehabilitates fascism by demonizing communism

13.10.2017, Russia.

Ukraine is an example of the rehabilitation of fascism, researcher Vitaly Gavrilin said on October 11 at the conference “Ukrainism: Who constructed it and why”, a correspondent of the Rossa Primavera Information Agency reports.

“Tacit rehabilitation of fascism, including Nazi marches, apologetics of Bandera, and much more, is supplemented by increasing demonization of communism as a major physiological tool aimed at the rehabilitation of fascism by the contrast-based approach (‘communism is so terrible that even fascism, which fought this evil, by the way,…’ and so on),” the researcher said. He believes that this situation strongly supports the idea that many would welcome the end of the current world order which is based on the condemnation of fascism.

Gavrilin cited Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk who said in 2015 that Ukraine and Germany suffered a Soviet invasion.

According to Gavrilin, the rehabilitation of fascism is happening in a situation when mass manipulation capabilities have become very much advanced: “In fact, in February 2014, certain assault teams, quite few in numbers, determined the fate of a major European state by turning those who took to the streets into a controlled crowd”.

The scientific-practical conference “Ukrainism: Who constructed it and why”, organized by Essence of Time social movement and Experimental Creative Centre International Public Foundation, took place in Moscow on October 11 and 12.

The emphasis of the researchers, who presented a monograph by the same name via the conference, is not on real history of Ukraine, which is firmly connected with Russian history, but the fundamentally anti-Russian construct of “Ukrainism”, which had been created over many centuries, and which the present Ukrainian regime is actively implementing.

Throughout the conference, the “Ukrainism” construct’s key formative moments were analyzed in detail; the common logic of its evolution was delineated; its modern forms and its most dangerous prospects of development were discussed.
