Russian military deliver humanitarian aid to Deir Khabiya residents

21.09.2017, Syria.

Russian military from the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of the village of Deir Khabiya in a de-escalation zone of the Daraa governorate, TASS reports.

“There is flour, rice, tea and canned food in these packages. More than that, we’ve additionally delivered several dozen of bags with buckwheat, sugar, and flour. The bags are 50 kilograms each. They will be given too to the people in need”, — says the Reconciliation Centre’s officer Vladislav Margiev.

The final creation of the de-escalation zones became possible as a result of the Sixth round of negotiations in the city of Astana that was held on the 14th and 15th of September 2017. Such countries as Iran, Russia, and Turkey were guarantors at that round. They confirmed all previous agreements and invited all interested organizations and international community members to help civilians of Syria to overcome the civil war’s aftermath and to create conditions for peaceful living.
