The Iranian nation will not violate its nuclear deal obligation – Iran’s President

19.09.2017, Iran.

The Iranian side will never be the first to breach the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA or Iran’s nuclear deal), but if it is violated by another party, it would receive ‘a due and proportionate response’, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on September 17 in his remarks, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.

Iran will remain committed to the nuclear deal until the other party [too] abides by the deal, said the Iranian leader. Hassan Rouhani called on all Iranian expatriates residing in the US to assist in supporting Iran’s nuclear deal. “Iran is not limited to geographical borders,”  Iran is anywhere where there are Iranians, said the President. Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA or Iran’s nuclear deal) is a multilateral international agreement which provides a peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program since July 15, 2015 for the next 10 years. According to the plan, Iran refused to produce weapons-grade plutonium, in turn the EU and the US pledged to lift economic sanctions from Iran. Sharp reaction of the Iranian leader is caused by reports of Western politicians’ intention to reconsider their obligations towards Iran.
