The situation is calm on the Gorlovka part of the front. The enemy does not utilize the heavy artillery. However, the Ukrainian military does not give the residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic (the DPR) rest. For example, a Ukrainian sniper opened fire on utility crew who were doing site improvement at the “Mayorsk” checkpoint in the north of Gorlovka. The utility crew was repairing the roof on one of the administrative buildings of the checkpoint. It was fortunate that none of six workers was injured, all civilians managed to find the shelter in time.
One house No 14 on Krasnaya Zvezda street and outbuildings in Trudovskiye were damaged by the Ukrainian army’s shelling of Donetsk. The enemy shelled Trudovskiye with mortars. The sounds of fighting using small arms and mortars can be heard in the area of Krasnogorovka and Staromikhaylovka.
The enemy’s infantry fighting vehicles opened fire on Dokuchaevsk. The local residents informed on the rare but powerful hit of the shells in the city.
Fire of high intensity is still observed in the south of the DPR. Electric power was lost in Leninskoye, Dzerzhinskoye, Kominternovo, Zaichenko, and Novaya Tavriya as a result of the shelling which damaged the power lines.
On August 15, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 56 times. The enemy shelled 23 town and villages of the DPR. According to DPR PM Command, 2 servicemen of the Republic were killed performing their military duty, and one soldier was injured.
