Ukrainian military’s sniper opened fire on utility crew who were doing site improvement at the Mayorsk checkpoint, said Ivan Prikhodko, the acting head of Gorlovka administration, Donetsk News Agency reported on August 16.
“The Head of DPR Aleksandr Zakharchenko instructed to make a number of site improvements at the Mayorsk checkpoint. Today at 09:28 a.m. the Ukrainian sniper opened fire on roofers who repaired the roof on one of the administrative buildings of the checkpoint”, – the acting head of town administration specified.
There were no casualties as the result of fire. All six members of the utility crew managed to safely leave the field of fire.
For the past day, Ukrainian army violated ceasefire 56 times. Five villages in the south of DPR lost power supply as the result of shelling. One apartment building was damaged in the west of the capital.
