Ukrainian artillery shells the Donetsk outskirts and the villages in south of DPR

The Ukrainian artillery is shelling the residential quarters and civilian infrastructure on the Donetsk and Mariupol directions; one civilian was killed near Dokuchaevsk, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on August 10.

During the day, the Ukrainian army shelled the village of Staromikhaylovka with 82mm mortars; the Petrovsky district in Donetsk came under the heavy shelling, which caused fire outbreaks in several houses on Mamin-Sibiryak, Chekhov, Kukyanenko, Karnavalnaya, and Krasnaya Zvezda streets. The Ukrainian military opened fire on the firefighter crews of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations, who arrived at the site.

At 4.30 p.m., in the community garden in the Chudnovsky district on the Dokuchaevsk outskirts, one 66-years old civilian blew up on a tripwire mine, placed by a Ukrainian sabotage-reconnaissance group. Aleksandr Andreyevich Yankovsky died from injuries in the hospital.

On the Mariupol direction, the situation remains tense. The power lines were damaged by the Ukrainian artillery’s shelling. Consequently, electric power was lost in the villages of Kominternovo, Sakhanka, and, partly, in Oktyabr.

On August 9th, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 54 times. 22 towns and villages of the Republic came under Ukrainian military’s shelling.
