Despite the temporary lull in fighting, the Ukrainian army shells the towns and villages of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on all directions of the front.
On the Gorlovka segment of the contact line, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the Nikitovksy district of the city as well as on the villages of Zaytsevo and Zhovanka. The Ukrainian army utilized tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, mortars, and small arms.
On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the area of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint, the village of Spartak, the outskirts of the Kievsky and Kuybyshevsky districts.
In the south of the DPR, the village of Kominternovo came under Ukrainian army’s mortar fire.
DPR People’s Militia intelligence uncovered the location of one battery of 152mm 2C3 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers.
On August 7th, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 36 times. 17 front-line towns and villages of the Republic came under Ukrainian military’s fire. The rail depot in Yasinovataya was damaged as a result of the Ukrainian army’s shelling.
