The situation is calm on the Gorlovka and Donetsk parts of the front; fire intensity is increasing on the Mariupol direction, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on August 6.
Occasional trench combat and the shelling of the front-line territories are being reported on the Gorlovka and Donetsk directions. The tensest situation is observed in the area of Golmovsky, Zhovanka, Spartak, and Trudovskiye. The Kiev military is attacking with mortars, the weaponry of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, and small arms.
The Ukrainian army attacked the positions of the Right Sector (organization banned in Russia – Editor) with Grad multiple launch rocket systems by firing 40 missiles. Around 1.00 PM, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the nationalists’ positions near Pishchevick. Fire came from the positions of the 59th Independent motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian army near the village of Zamozhnoye. Then, the 59th Independent motorized infantry brigade’s artillery shelled the village of Zaporozhets under the control of the DPR. 7 houses were damaged and 2 civilians sustained serious psychological trauma due to the shelling, which lasted for about an hour.
On August 5th, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 52 times. 14 towns and villages of the Republic came under Ukrainian army’s fire. 7 houses in the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Kuybyshevsky district of Donetsk were damaged by the Ukrainian artillery fire.
