Polish Defense Minister: A Russian-Chinese alliance is a threat to the free world

08.07.2017, Poland.

Strong relations between China and Russia are a threat to the free world, the Defense Minister of Poland, Antoni Macierewicz, said on July 7, the RIA Novosti news agency reports.

Macierewicz gave this assessment of the friendly relations between China and Russia as he commented on the joint military exercises between the two countries in the Baltic region. According to the Polish Defense Minister, this exercise demonstrates that the “free world” can face aggression from China and Russia.

“For many recent years Russia and China have been trying to hide the strategic alliance that unites them. They have been trying to pretend that no such alliance exists. They have been making it look like a conflict between them in order to distract the Western public opinion and even that of some leaders,” this is how Macierewicz explains his point view.

“In fact, there is a strong strategic alliance between Russia and China,” the Polish Defense Minister concludes.

A group of PRC naval ships was invited by Russia to participate in a naval exercise collectively named Joint Sea-2017 to be held in the Sea of Okhotsk, in the Sea of Japan, and in the Baltic Sea.
