DPR: Ukrainian army intensified the shelling and made breakthrough attempt

The Ukrainian army torpedoes “Harvest Truce” [a truce concluded for the period of gathering the harvest – Editor] by attacking the positions of the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) near Vasilevka and shelling the villages and towns of the Republic, a source in the DPR PM informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on June 29.

On the Gorlovka segment of the contact line, the enemy shelled the western outskirts of the city and the village of Zaytsevo.

The volume of the shelling significantly increased on the Donetsk direction of the front. The Ukrainian army attempted to break through the DPR PM positions near Vasilevka, but the enemy was forced to retreat, suffering losses in manpower and in weaponry. A massive artillery shelling by the Ukrainian military had preceded the attack. Moreover, the outskirts of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint, the areas of Avdeevka industrial zone and of the former Donetsk airport, the villages of Krutaya Balka, Spartak, and Aleksandrovka came under the Ukrainian military’s fire. On this part of the front, the enemy used tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, 152mm heavy artillery, 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, and small arms.

The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat in the area of Dokuchaevsk and of Yasnoye.

On the Mariupol part of the front, the village of Kominternovo came under Ukrainian artillery fire.

On June 28, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 31 times. 14 towns and villages of the Republic were shelled. In the village of Staromilhaylovka west of Donetsk, one civilian was killed, 3 houses and power lines were damaged. A gas pipeline was damaged in the village of Yasnoye near Dokucvhaevsk.
