DPR: One civilian killed during the shelling of the western Donetsk outskirts by the Ukrainian army

The situation is tense on all parts of the front, one civilian was killed west of Donetsk, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on June 28.

The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat in the outskirts of Gorlovka and near the village of Zaytsevo. Several shells were fired on the territory of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint. The same situation is observed on the Mariupol direction.

Around 4.50 PM, the Ukrainian side shelled the village of Staromikhaylovka, Igor Vladimirovich Shatalov, a 56-years old civilian, was killed as a result of the shelling. Fire the came from the village of Krasnogorovka.

The Ukrainian military also shelled the suburb of Donetsk, specifically Krasnogorovka controlled by the Ukrainian military, with mortars. Shortly before the incident, the DPR PM representative informed on the arrival of the Ukrainian TV crews accompanied by the Deputy Director General of Police in the Donetsk district in the zone of responsibility of the 1st Battalion in the Ukrainian army’s 72nd Brigade. Before the shelling, the Ukrainian media were sent  in the targeted area to film this provocation aimed in the accusation of the DPR PM in the violation of the “Harvest Truce” [a truce concluded for the period of gathering the harvest – Editor]. In turn, the Donetsk side adheres the ceasefire, and it does not react to the provocations.

DPR PM intelligence informs on new instances of the heavy weaponry redeployment to the contact line by the Ukrainian army. The location of one battery of Akatsiya self-propelled artillery vehicles was uncovered near Artemovsk. There is information on the arrival of one battery of 122mm D-30 howitzers in the area of Novy Trud.

On June 27, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 21 times. 9 towns and villages of the Republic came under the Ukrainian military’s shelling.
