Explosion occurred at a kindergarten in the chinese city of Fengxian

On June 15 an explosion occurred at a kindergarten in the Chinese city of Fengxian, Interfax informed citing government media of the People’s Republic of China.

Local Chinese officials said that the investigation was underway, but couldn’t provide any data on victims of the explosion. According to the reports of the local officials, the blast struck at around 5 p.m. at the building of a kindergarten in eastern China in Jiangsu province. Cause of the accident has not been revealed. Local media has already published some images of the accident, as well as non-official information on victims.  

Jiangsu province is one of the most important provinces of the PRC, leading in economic growth, agricultural and manufacturing sectors, as well as providing a better living standard to the citizens. The territory of Jiangsu province since ancient times was a part of the Chinese state, some of the oldest China’s cities are situated here.  The administrative center of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing, several times throughout history became capital of China. The population of Jiangsu province is around 75 million people.
