DPR: Number of the deserters among the Ukrainian troops is high

The Ukrainian army continues to shell the towns and villages in the Donetsk People’s Republic (the DPR). The DPR People’s Militia intelligence reports that the number of the deserters among the Ukrainian troops is high, a source in the DPR People’s Militia informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on June 13.

On the Gorlovka direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the villages of Zaytsevo and Shirokaya Balka.

On the Donetsk part of the front, the Ukrainian army opened fire on the villages of Veseloye and Spartak, the outskirts of the former Donetsk airport and the area of “Volvo-Center”, as well as the Kuybyshevsky district in Donetsk. Active combat continues near Yasinovataya.

Along the Mariupol direction, the Kiev military attacked the villages of Sakhanka, where a peaceful civilian, a woman, was shot dead by a sniper.

According to DPR PM Command, the DPR PM servicemen took up one of the positions of the 36th Independent Marine Brigade in the Ukrainian army on the south direction of the front. The Ukrainian military, who had previously controlled the taken-up position, deserted because of the difficult psychological conditions [on the front]. On the whole, the DPR PM intelligence informs that the number of the deserters among the Ukrainian troops has significantly increased.

On June 12, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 70 times. The enemy shelled 22 villages and towns of the Republic. Two civilians were killed in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian military’s artillery fire. 5 houses in the Petrovsky, Kuybyshevsky, and Kievsky districts of Donetsk, as well as in Dokuchaevsk were damaged by the Ukrainian army’s shelling.
