Russian military sent gifts to Aleppo orphanage on International Children`s Day

On the International Children’s Day, Russian military from the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic delivered products and gifts to the orphanage, which is under their care in Aleppo for Syrian orphans, the employee of the Center Kirill Tsupnyakov told on June 1, Interfax reports.

“We brought traditional flour, sugar, and rice, and also candy and toys to the children”, Tsupnyakov told having wished all the best from all officers of Russian army to pupils and personnel of the orphanage.

Director of the orphanage Muhammad al-Tayeb expressed his gratitude to the Russian military that each of the 22 boys received a box of sweets on the International Children’s Day.

“I want to wish happiness, good health and, most importantly, that their parents would be near to all children of the world.  And that children wouldn’t suffer as their peers had to suffer in Aleppo”, the director told having added that the Russian military are frequent guests of the orphanage, making life of his pupils a little more joyful.

Humanitarian aid for Syrians is delivered regularly. Group of Humanitarian Assistance to the Syrian Population, a part of the Coordination Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic engage in organizing the delivery. Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation delivered more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid for the civilian population of Syria in 2017. Since February 2016 Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic has carried out more than 1200 humanitarian actions.
