On the day of the celebration of the Great Victory, the situation was tense along the whole front line. The Ukrainian army shelled a village in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic (the DPR) while the festive events were held there.
Between 9.35 and 10.25 AM, during the official rally, the Ukrainian artillery started to shell the village of Bezymennoye in the Novoazovsky district of the DPR. 3 civilians were wounded, 5 houses on Pushkin and Druzhby streets were damaged. The enemy fired 70 shells with 152mm and 122mm mortars. Fire came from the positions of the 36th Independent Marines brigade of the Ukrainian army and the “Azov” neo-Nazi battalion.
During May 9, the Ukrainian army was provoking trench combat near the villages of Zaytsevo and Zhovanka, north of Gorlovka, in Avdeevka industrial zone, north of Donetsk, near Dokuchaevsk, and on the Mariupol directions.
On May 8, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 50 times. The Ukrainian side shelled 13 villages and towns of the DPR. A 67 years old woman was injured in the village of Zaytsevo, north of Gorlovka. One house was damaged in the Kuybyshevsky district of Donetsk; another one was damaged in the village of Trudovskiye in the west of the capital. Also, one house was damaged in Dokuchaevsk.
