During the past day, the Ukrainian army shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 43 times, Operations Command of the DPR People’s Militia stated, as the Donetsk News Agency informs.
“During the past day, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 43 times. The Ukrainian army attacked a total of 12 towns and villages of the Republic with tanks, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers, and small arms,” a representative of Operations Command informed.
At least 8 houses, 4 of them in the village of Staromikhaylovka, west of Donetsk, 2 in the village of Mineralnoye, and another 2 in the village of Aleksandrovka, south-west of Donetsk, were damaged as a result of the shelling.
The enemy also shelled power lines. 120 residents of the village of Kominternovo were left without electric power.
The preparations for the celebration of the Victory Day in the DPR continue amidst the shelling being intensified by the Ukrainian army. According to the Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin, the Ukrainian military is trying to disrupt the celebration of the Day of the Victory of the Soviet Union over the fascist Germany.
