The Ukrainian side continues to conduct the shelling and provocations along the whole contact line; the enemy intensified fire along the Mariupol direction, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on May 4.
The situation remains tense on the Gorlovka direction. The Ukrainian army had been provoking trench combat in the area of Zaytsevo and Shirokaya Balka.
The situation is tense on the Donetsk direction. In the night, the Ukrainian military shelled the village of Spartak, north of the DPR capital. 2 houses were damaged. The Ukrainian side actively used aerial recon drones to adjust [artillery] fire.
The Ukrainian army became active on the south direction. In the night, the Ukrainian military shelled the village of Sakhanka in the south of the DPR. House of culture and boiler station were damaged in the village as a result of the artillery shelling. In the afternoon, the Ukrainian side opened fire on the suburbs of Bezymennoye with tanks. The observation post of the Russian representatives of the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination came under enemy’s fire.
On May 3, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 56 times. The Ukrainian side shelled 17 towns and villages of the DPR.
