The Ukrainian army intensified the shelling. The Ukrainian sabotage-recon groups became highly active on DPR territory, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on March 24th.
During the day, the Ukrainian military were shelling the residential areas of Gorlovka. The enemy was also provoking trench combat in the suburbs of the city. 2 houses on Marshal Peresypkin and Bogun streets were damaged. A 61-years old man was injured. The situation is tense in the area of Zaytsevo, the Gagarin (Glubokaya) coal mine, the villages of Shirokaya Balka and Zheleznaya Balka.
Very intense fire is observed on the Donetsk part of the front. The Ukrainian military shelled the village of Spartak, where a house on Pobeda street burnt down as a result of the direct hit of the shell. Outbuilding on Mira street burnt down. Moreover, the village of Yakovlevka was shelled with 152mm mortars and tanks. A shell struck the roof of the building on Chernogorskaya street in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. 2 houses on Andrusov street and one house on Lieutenant Nikolenko street in the village of Trudovskiye were damaged. The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone and in the area of “Volvo-Center”.
Today, at 8.50 AM, the Ukrainian saboteurs opened fire on one of the buildings of DPR PM military unit in downtown Donetsk with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. The fragments of the rounds struck the house injuring a woman. The [sabotage-recon] group is being traced.
In the south of DPR, 4 houses in the village of Zaichenko were damaged as a result of the night shelling conducted by the Ukrainian army. The village of Sosnovskoye also came under Ukrainian military’s fire. Electric power was lost in the village of Kominternovo.
The bodies of 2 Ukrainian army soldiers, killed while attempting to seize the position of DPR People’s Militia on March 20th, were passed to the Ukrainian side today.
According to recent information, during the past day, March 23rd, the Ukrainian army violated ceasefire 85 times. During the past week, the Ukrainian military intensified the shelling of DPR territory.
