Trench combat and the shelling of the residential areas conducted by the Ukrainian army do not cease along all main directions of the front, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on March 23rd.
On the Gorlovka direction, the village of Zaytsevo came under Ukrainian military’s fire. The enemy used mortars of various calibres and the guns of infantry fighting vehicles. Ukrainian army’s drones conducting aerial recon were again noted on this part of the front.
On the Donetsk direction, the situation remains tense. Trench combat of high intensity was underway in the area of Spartak and Avdeevka industrial zone throughout the day. The Ukrainian army shelled the village of Yakovlevka with tanks and 120mm mortars. The enemy opened fire on houses on Polskaya street in the Kievsky district of Donetsk with infantry fighting vehicles.
The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat along the Mariupol direction.
One civilian, a woman, was reported injured in the village of Krutaya Balka. The woman was shot in the leg on March 22nd, fire came from the Ukrainian side.
According to recent information, during the past day, March 22nd, the Ukrainian military violated ceasefire 63 times. The Ukrainian army opened fire on Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk, the villages of Krutaya Balka, Spartak, Kominternovo, the area of the former Donetsk airport, the Kievsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk.
