On the Gorlovka and Donetsk direction, the situation is unchanged. However, on the southern part of the front, the situation is sharply escalated, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on March 20th.
On the Gorlovka and Donetsk directions, the situation remains tense. The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat in the areas of Zaytsevo, of Avdeevka industrial zone, and in the western suburbs of the Petrovsky district in Donetsk.
The tensest situation is observed on the Mariupol part of the front. In the morning, the Ukrainian army attempted to break through the DPR PM positions in the area of Kominternovo. The attack was backed by the artillery. According to DPR PM Command, the Ukrainian side lost 10 militaries killed and another 5 wounded. One BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle was destroyed. 3 DPR servicemen were wounded. Combat continues on this part of the front.
DPR PM Command also informed that, during the day, another one serviceman was wounded as a result of the shelling conducted by the Ukrainian army.
DPR PM intelligence presented new facts of the non-combat loses among the Ukrainian military. In the area of Dzerzhinsk, 4 soldiers of the 72nd independent mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army were killed, and another 3 soldiers of the 3rd battalion of the 80th independent assault brigade were wounded as a result of the shootout with the militants of one of the Ukrainian nationalist battalion.
According to recent information, during the past day, March 19th, the Ukrainian army violated ceasefire 39 times. 13 towns and villages of DPR came under Ukrainian artillery’s fire.
