Ukrainian army heavily shelled Gorlovka and Yasinovataya

The situation is tense on the northern and Gorlovka directions of the front; the Ukrainian army is heavily shelling Gorlovka and Yasinovataya.

The situation at the Gorlovka part of the front remains tense. The Ukrainian army opened fire on the residential areas of the city and the village of Zaytsevo. 11 houses were damaged. High voltage power lines were damaged by Ukrainian artillery fire resulting in over thousand customers left without electric power. Trench combat is underway in the area of the village of Krasny Partizan south of Gorlovka.

On the Donetsk direction, a number of the villages and towns, including Yasinovataya, Makeevka, Vasilevka, Krutaya Balka, Spartak north of the capital, Trudovskiye in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, came under fire. Several houses were damaged in Yasinovataya. One of them was totally burned down. Power lines in the area of the Donetsk water filtration plant were damaged by Ukrainian army’s mortar fire. The plant was left without electric power, and the employees were evacuated. The Ukrainian army was shelling the area of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint and of Avdeevka industrial zone almost all day.

On the Mariupol direction, the Ukrainian army was shelling the village of Sakhanka with heavy artillery and mortars. There is no information on the destruction and victims.

According to the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia Command, during the past day, two servicemen of DPR Armed forces were killed, and one was wounded.

During the past day, March 4th, Ukrainian military opened fire on the territory of Donetsk People’s Republic 2,483 times. 19 houses in 13 communities were damaged as a result of the shelling. The Ukrainian army utilized heavy artillery, mortars of various calibers, infantry fighting vehicles, military boats, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms.
