The situation remains tense. The Ukrainian army is sabotaging the work of the monitors in the area of the Donetsk water filtration plant, a source in the DPR People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on March 3rd.
During the day, the Ukrainian military heavily shelled the northern suburbs of Gorlovka, the “Mayorsk” checkpoint, the villages of Ozeryanovka and Zaytsevo, where 2 houses were damaged by shrapnel. Trench combat is underway in the area of Krasny partizan.
Along the Donetsk part of the front, the Ukrainian army is provoking combat in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone, of the village of Spartak, and in the area of “Volvo-Center”. Residential house was damaged in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. There is no information on the victims.
During the day, the Ukrainian military shelled the territory of the Donetsk water filtration plant several times and, thus, disrupted the joint inspection of the plant, scheduled for today. A drone of the OSCE mission was shot down as a result of one of the shelling.
In the south of the Republic, the villages of Komintrenovo and Leninskoye came under Ukrainian military’s fire. Fire came from the village of Sartana.
DPR PM intelligence continues to uncover the location of the Ukrainian army’s military hardware, banned by the Minsk agreements, at the contact line. During the past week, a tank company and up to a battery of 122mm “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery were registered on the Gorlovka direction. 152mm “Akatsiya” self-propelled artillery battalion, up to a battery of MT-12 “Rapira” anti-tank guns, 2 tank platoons, and 2 platoons of 120mm mortars were spotted on the Donetsk direction. On the Mariupol direction, up to a battery of 152mm “Akatsiya” howitzers and one platoon of 120mm mortars were uncovered.
During the past day, March 2nd, the Ukrainian army opened fire on the territory of DPR 1,859 times. Heavy artillery was used 20 times. Tanks, mortars, and infantry fighting vehicles were utilized 37, 413, and 57 times, respectively. The Ukrainian army used anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms 1,331 times.
