The Ukrainian military opened fire on the village of Kominternovo in the south of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) this morning, a source in the DPR People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on February 22nd.
The shelling began at 7.30 AM. As a result of the incident, house and gas pipeline were damaged, and electric power on Akhmatova street was lost.
In the morning, the situation was calm on the Donetsk and Gorlovka directions.
Talks on the withdrawal of heavy artillery were not successful. Yesterday, the Ukrainian side refused to withdraw its heavy weaponry from the contact line, and it stated that it would not do this in the near future.
Recall that, on February 21st, the Ukrainian army opened fire on Dokuchaevsk and the village of Elenovka to the south of Donetsk with infantry fighting vehicles. 8 houses were damaged.
