The situation on Debaltsevo direction escalated sharply. In the course of the whole day Ukrainian side provoked trench warfare and shelled positions of People’s Militia by mortars, tanks and heavy artillery. By the evening the intensity of fire increased.
Fighting continues on the outskirts of Gorlovka. The situation is tense in the area of Zaytsevo village in the north of the city. Ukrainian army’s artillery fire damaged a pig farm building in Molochnoye village, three power lines were damaged.
Intensive trench warfare is being registered in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone and Yasinovataya checkpoint. Armed Forces of Ukraine shell DPR People’s Militia by automatic grenade launchers, mortars and heavy artillery.
Two houses, one in Kievsky district and one in Petrovsky district of Donetsk were damaged by today’s shellings.
Kominternovo village in Novoazovsky district of DPR was shelled, six houses were damaged and one burned to the ground. Trench warfare on southern direction continue.
DPR recon revealed a Ukrainian “Grad” multiple rocket launcher battery on Donetsk direction, in the area of Galitsinovka village. Up to a battery of “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery guns were revealed in Talakovka village on the southern direction.
According to updated information, on December 18 Ukrainian military shelled frontline districts of Donetsk People’s Republic 1684 times.
