Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to shell DPR People’s Militia positions and frontline towns and villages, however, artillery is being fired less often. Alexander Hug, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, is still in the Republic.
Ukrainian military shelled a bus with passengers on “Mayorsk” checkpoint north of Gorlovka today. One person was killed, two were injured. Later another passenger of the bus, a woman, died of a heart attack. Zaytsevo and Shyrokaya Balka villages came under fire, according to local residents, the enemy fired large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
On the Donetsk direction, Spartak village in the north of the city, as well as Aleksandrovka and Trudovskie villages west of the city got shelled. Armed Forces of Ukraine fired four 152mm artillery shells in the direction of Yasinovataya. Local residents inform on intensive combat in the area of Krasny Partizan village, Yasinovataya checkpoint and Avdeevka industrial zone.
The Ukrainian side shelled the area of Dokuchaevsk south of Donetsk. Local residents inform that Armed Forces of Ukraine fire from the direction of Novotroitskoye village by mortars, tanks and small arms.
Kominternovo, Oktyabr, Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Sergeyevka on Mariupol direction were shelled.
According to DPR People’s Militia Command, one serviceman of the Republic was killed in the shellings.
DPR recon discovered a platoon of Ukrainian army tanks in the area of Krasnogorovka. Up to two platoons of tanks, up to a battery of “Rapira” anti-tank guns and up to a battalion of infantry on IFVs and APCs have been spotted near Donskoye township. Up to two batteries of D-30 howitzers have been spotted near Primorskoye village.
According to updated information, on December 14 Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 864 times, firing 288 120mm and 82mm mortar shells, the enemy also fired various grenade launchers, IFV guns and small arms.
