Kiev manipulates the lists of illegally detained Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) supporters in order not to put them on the lists of exchange, DPR Ombudswoman Darya Morozova stated today.
“The Ukrainian side repeatedly manipulates the lists of the detained persons by refusing to confirm the people we claimed (for exchange – Donetsk News Agency). I wrote an official letter regarding this matter to the representatives of the Ukrainian side in the Contact Subgroup on Humanitarian [Affairs] as well as the members of the international community,” the Ombudswoman said. “I hope that the representatives of UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross will react immediately to my request and take all appropriate measures.”
Morozova claimed once again that this problem could be solved only if Kiev will adopt the amnesty law as envisaged by the Minsk Agreements.
On December 12th, Morozova stated that the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine force the detained DPR supporters to refuse in writing from participating POW exchange.
