Today a decrease in the intensity of fire is observed, which has to do with the arrival of OSCE monitors together with Alexander Hug to the frontline zone.
Ukrainian army is provoking trench warfare on the outskirts of Gorlovka and still shells residential districts of the city. Tense situation is being registered in Zaytsevo and Golmovsky villages. The sounds of fighting area heard from the side of Debaltsevo-Svetlodarsk. Armed Forces of Ukraine fire artillery, mortars, automatic grenade launchers, RPGs and small arms.
Armed Forces of Ukraine significantly decreased today the number of shellings of frontline districts of the Republic. OSCE monitoring mission went along the front from Donetsk water filtration plant and “Oktyabrskaya” mine north of Donetsk to Petrovsky village south of the capital. Nevertheless, trench warfare periodically erupts in the area of Yasinovataya checkpoint and Avdeevka industrial zone.
There was no information today regarding combat or shelling on Mariupol direction.
According to DPR recon, positions of up to two platoons of 82mm mortars and up to two platoons of 120mm mortars were discovered on Dokuchaevsk direction, two kilometers away from the frontline. The arrival to the port of Mariupol of the trade vessel “Amal Neptune” carrying over 1.5 thousand tons of artillery shells was also established.
According to updated information, on December 12 the Ukrainian side fired 859 times on DPR territory. Towns and villages on Gorlovka, Donetsk and south directions came under fire.
