DPR restored railroad crossing damaged by combat, launched bus route to suburbs

Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) authorities repaired the automatic warning system of a railroad crossing damaged in the battles of 2014 in Shakhtersk town and resumed the operation of public and school buses in the direction of Gornoye village, the press service of DPR Ministry of Transport informed on November 7th, 2016.

DPR Ministry of Transport repaired an electrical grid and automatic warning system of the railroad crossings ’41km’ and ’42km’ of the railroad haul Torez-Postnikovo. As a result, the operation of public and school buses to Gornoye village was resumed,” the press service explained.

Gornoye village is 7 km west of Shakhtersk town in the east of Donetsk People’s Republic. Because of the military actions in August 2014, the automatic warning system of the railroad crossings was damaged. DPR road police had to prohibit the public transport from the crossing the railroad.
