People’s Militia: LPR will do everything to return SBU's hostages home

26.10.2016, LPR.

Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) is prepared to do everything possible to return home the civilians, taken hostage by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Head of People’s Militia Administration Colonel Oleg Anashenko claimed during a briefing in Lugansk Information Center on October 25th.

He previously informed that SBU took hostage mother and stepfather of the LPR People’s Militia officer, Lieutenant Colonel Sidorenko, in order to force him to surrender secret state information to the Ukrainian side.

We have already taken actions to clarify the whereabouts of the hostages, and the efforts have been made to set them free. At the moment, these persons have not been included in the official list of war prisoners. However, if they will not be released soon, we shall put them on the list,” Anashenko stressed.

It is not for the first time when the Ukrainian side detains LPR civilians not related to the war to exchange these people later passing them off as ‘dangerous terrorists’. We would do everything to bring these people back to the LPR territory,” the Head of the People’s Militia Administration stressed.
