Drunk Ukrainian serviceman shot two comrades-in-arms dead

19.10.2016, Donbass.

A soldier of the 54th Independent Motorized Brigade (IMB) of the Ukrainian army shot two of his comrades-in-arms with an automatic firearm, the spokesperson of the People’s Militia of Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Major Andrey Marochko reported during a briefing in Lugansk Information Center on October 19th.

According to the sources, the serviceman was drinking alcohol with his comrades-in-arms. A drinking spree escalated into a drunken quarrel, which ended in two comrades-in-arms being shot dead.

The brigade commanders conceal this incident from their superiors. This has become something of a tradition,” the spokesman stressed.

It also became known that the quantities of fuel and equipment do not meet the needs of the 54th IMB,” Marochko added.

Marochko previously informed that Ukrainian commanders plan a rotation of the units in the zone of Kiev junta’s punitive operation (so-called, “antiterrorist operation” − Editor) because of the low combat readiness, drunkenness, and desertion of the personnel. At the same time, the commanders of Ukrainian units conceal the facts of desertion and increase of non-combat casualties among the personnel of the Ukrainian army in this zone from their superior officers.
