Dance ensembles, choirs, and performers of the Republican Palace of Child and Teenage Art staged the show in front of the Drama Theater in Donetsk on the Miner’s Day, August 28th. The event was held as part of festival ‘Our Talents to You, Dear Donetsk’ and gathered about 100 participants.
The children sang songs, danced, read poems about their native land. More than 300 people came to see the performances of young stars. Each performance won applause. The youngest audience danced and sang along with the participants.
“We want to give our people unforgettable emotions and distract from daily chores,” one of the organizers of the Festival, Ekaterina Koschaeva told in her interview to a Donetsk Agency News reporter.
The Day of Donetsk City and the main holiday of Donbass, Miner’s Day, are traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of summer. This year, they are celebrated on August 28th. On this occasion, events and concerts were held in all cities and regions. Many celebrations have begun the day before, on August 27th.
