Two Russian officers from the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) donated blood today for Donetsk People’s Republic civilians injured in shellings by Ukrainian army.
Blood was donated in the blood donor center in the capital of DPR. Representatives of JCCC were accompanied by representatives of the Defense Ministry of the Republic.
“It was an ordinary humanitarian action. JCCC officers addressed us asking to help in providing aid to the civilian population and accompany to the nearest blood donor center,” a representative of the Defense Ministry told Donetsk News Agency.
The representative noted that Russian officers responded to the urge of Donetsk medics to donate blood for civilians injured during the shelling. “The number of injured and victims recently increased,” Defense Ministry added.
Recently the Ukrainian side intensified the shelling of frontline territories of the Republic.
