During the past night, the Ukrainian military fired 347 mortar and artillery shells at the outskirts of Donetsk city, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk towns, and south of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a source in the DPR Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency on June 29.
“From 7 PM till 1 AM, the Ukrainian side shelled Trudovskie, Aleksandrovka, and Staromikhaylovka villages in the west of Donetsk, Spartak village in the northern suburbs of the capital, Zaytsevo village in the north of Gorlovka, the areas near Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk towns and southern villages of DPR,” the source said. “A total of 287 mortar shells and 64 artillery shells were fired at these towns and villages.“
According to the source, the enemy units used mortars and heavy artillery guns along with anti-tank guided missiles, weapons of infantry fighting vehicle, grenade launchers, and small arms.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian military shelled the south of the Republic by heavy artillery. Two civilians were wounded, two houses including an apartment building were damaged as a result of this shelling of Donetsk city and Dokuchaevsk town.
