Donetsk People’s Republic under Ukrainian army’s fire

Over the past day, the Ukrainian military fired 300 shells at the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to the DPR Operations Command, Donetsk News Agency informed on June 19th.

Ukrainian troops shelled Zheleznaya Balka and Zaytsevo villages, located in the Gorlovka suburbs, as well as Yasinovataya and Dokuchaevsk towns. In the south of the Republic, Sakhanka and Kominternovo villages were shelled. The north-western outskirts of Donetsk were also under the fire.

The Ukrainian side fired a total of 25 125mm artillery shells, 65 120mm and 126 82mm mortar shells. The enemy also used infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, and various kinds of small arms.

12 buildings were destroyed or partially damaged, of which three buildings were damaged in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, four buildings – in Staromikhaylovka village, two buildings – in Aleksandrovka village, and three houses – in Kominternovo village in the south of DPR.

As it was previously reported, several houses were destroyed, and over 90 buildings were left without electricity due to the shelling of the western outskirts of Donetsk. During the previous night, the Ukrainian army fired 130 mortar shells and munitions, including 46 120 mm and 59 82mm mortar shells.
