Over the past day, the Ukrainian side fired over 650 shells at the territory of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, the area near Dokuchaevsk town and Elenovka village, as well as Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages in the south were shelled, ‘Essence of time’ unit reported on their official page in the social networks in the evening of June 7th.
Ukrainian side used 120mm and 82mm mortars, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, automatic grenade launchers, and small arms. A hit to a territory of Michurinskaya corrective colony reported. Two civilians were injured in the shelling of Petrovskiy district of Donetsk. During the past day, one DPR soldier was killed, and two DPR soldiers were injured. As of 10 PM, June 7th, 2016, trench combat was underway north of Gorlovka and near ‘Yasinovatskiy’ checkpoint. ‘According to DPR Intelligence, the enemy is conducting the rotation of the units and reinforcement of the troops on the Gorlovka, Donetsk, and Mariupol directions. The redeployment of the infantry, tanks, self-propelled guns ‘Gvozdika’ and howitzers D-30 to the front line is registered,’ added in the report.
We reported that, on June 6th, the Ukrainian army fired around 600 shells at the DPR territory. For comparison, last month, the number of fired shells was on average 10 times less.
