Ukrainian army intensified the artillery fire, “Essence of Time” unit reported on their official page in the social networks in the evening of May 16th.
During the night of May 15th – May 16th, fierce combat was underway on the outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Dokuchaevsk, and in the south of Donetsk People’s Republic. In the afternoon, the representatives of the OSCE mission arrived to the positions of DPR Armed Forces near ‘Yasinovatskiy’ checkpoint. In the presence of the representatives, the intensity of the combat temporarily decreased on this part of the front. The number of shells fired by the Ukrainian army is growing. Over the past day, 340 mortar shells were fired at the DPR territory damaging the houses on the western outskirts of Donetsk, the report states.
DPR Defense Ministry informed that Ukrainian army fired 166 82mm and 120mm mortar shells at the villages and towns of DPR, the Kiev junta’s punitive forces used a tank and anti-tank gun MT-12 ‘Rapira’, grenade launchers and small arms.
