Ten Ukrainian servicemen were killed, seven were injured near Avdeevka in the past 24 hours as a result of uncoordinated actions of Ukrainian Armed Forces divisions, Donetsk People’s Republic Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin said during his daily briefing in Donetsk News Agency press center on May 16.
“Our recon registered the shelling of the positions of tactical group of the 90th air mobile battalion, 81st air mobile brigade by the servicemen of the 13th independent motorized infantry battalion, 58th independent motorized infantry brigade, as a result of which 10 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and seven were injured,” he said.
Basurin explained that the reasons of the shelling were the “uncoordinated actions between the divisions of the 58th and 81st brigades, as well as the personal order of the commander of the 13th independent motorized infantry battalion, 58th independent motorized infantry brigade to open artillery fire at the target of his choice.“
